Gregory D. Abowd, the inventor of B.I. Capture, is an Associate Professor
in the College of Computing and GVU Center at the
Georgia Institute of
Technology. Dr. Abowd is a former Rhodes scholar and
world-renowned expert on video technologies. Gregory’s
research area is in the area of Human-Computer Interaction,
with particular focus on the engineering and evaluation of
mobile and ubiquitous computing applications. He is
currently co-Director of the Aware Home Research Initiative,
which he founded at Georgia Tech in 2000, and that now
includes research initiatives into early childhood
interventions and education technologies for children with
autism. He is the father of two children with autism.
